End Bullying!!

When is the system going to implement a zero-tolerance rule against bullying?

What is it going to take for the system to understand the importance of fighting the bullying phenomenon?

How many more kids have to die before drastic measures have to be taken?

It all starts and ends with the system and our leaders need to take action to end the misery experienced by victims of bullying.

Why is bullying allowed to persist and why is it overlooked by school administrations?

Not enough is being done and the little that is being put together is not enough.

Real change needs to happen in the school culture in order to keep our kids safe.

A girl throws herself in front of a NYC Bus to end her misery two days after Christmas because she can’t take the torture of being bullied anymore and there was no one there to help her.

Everyone knew of her situation including the school and no one could help her – Kid bullies are ruthless because it provides them a sense of power.

The system needs to take the power out of young kid’s hands by removing the ability to bully others so innocent kids don’t have to die.

Bullying is a vicious cycle that damages good kids and destroys the integrity of the educational system.

Suicide becomes an epidemic that is contagious and more kids are opting for suicide.

People ignore bullying until it affects their neighborhood or their own family!!

How could you help prevent bullying before it affects you?

Political Power Struggle, Corruption, and Unemployment 

What is the connection?

This will shock you!!

Who will you choose to be the next President of the United States of America?

Does it really matter?

Will one person with mutually aligned values and principles really make a difference among a system where incentives rule the divide?

Can one person change a system that has been tweaked over the decades to aid politicians to meet their own greedy ends?

Did you see the 60 Minutes segment where law makers are allowed to use private information to trade stock options to make money before the information goes public?

Did you know that this behavior is the same behavior that is getting high profile traders and CEOs put in jail – Only the law makers are legally allowed to make money on this information before it goes public!!

  • Nancy Pelosi made a fortune with Visa options based on private information – Makes you think!!!

Did you know that most Politicians make less than 200k a year and the majority leave office multi-millionaires?

How does that happen?

Why did the whole Republican Party vote against every single proposal of our Democratic President?

Is it Conformity?

Is it Power?

Was it because ALL the proposals were no good?

What about the correlation between the OCCUPY movement and Unemployment?

Unemployment numbers are going down – Is it because people are getting jobs or is it from something else?

Did you know – If people are not receiving unemployment benefits then they are not considered unemployed…

If unemployment benefits are denied to qualified unemployed, then the unemployment number goes down, government looks successful, and the economy starts to get better – for investors.

Is this progress?

People that get laid off in exchange for offshoring are suffering to pay their bills and need assistance during transition.

I propose that there is a 9% known Unemployment + a 20% unknown Unemployment + a 20% Underemployment which = 50% + Americans that are NOT reaching their Potential.

The question I pose is – Why?

That question needs to be solved with a change of perspective and creative innovation that leads to positive change.

American Leadership Paradox

American Leadership Paradox

  • Are we at war with ourselves?
  • Why is the American political system so slow to act?
  • What is this struggle all about?
  • Tell me; is there someone here to blame?

Here is the short answer first:

We want a powerful altruistic Leader that makes quick decisions in our best interest, and provides us security,

BUT,

we are a nation of individualists who want to be the Leader, and are ashamed to be in the follower role.

Our culture looks down upon the follower and we admire the Leader.

  • Who do we want to be?

The leader of course – We are American!

Well, the problem; Leaders need followers! 

If everyone is the Leader and no-one follows, then we have a problem:

It is called – The American Leadership Paradox!

  1. We want community and togetherness, but explicitly yearn for a capitalist society with the freedom to be an individual.
  2. We value family, but relish in the rebel persona.

Our culture is a paradox that tries to indulge on both ends of the spectrum.

Our Leaders are unable to lead because we choose to mock them instead of follow.

We display cognitive dissonance towards our Leaders

and believe that we could do a better job.

Maybe we could – If we work together.

The Nature/Nurture debate – Is it inborn or due to the situation?

Researchers determined this debate to be a 50/50 split.

If we are wonderful Leaders and our situation is not conducive to leading, then the cold hard truth is that Leaders will fail 50% of the time regardless of ability.

  • How do we survive in a Leaderless society?

Our models in family, business, politics, education, and more,

require a Leader who has power that is admired and followed.

  • Can we all be leaders without followers or is there another solution?

Currently, our Leaders are unethical, self-centered, and ruining our economy!

We as Americans, don’t trust the government, don’t trust commercials, don’t trust our neighbors, and don’t trust anything.

Why?

Is it because we are horrible people, you and I,

or is it because our system is coming to a breaking point?

  • Why do we tolerate unethical leadership?
  • Why do they act this way?

Short Answer: Our individualist system funneled these leaders to the pinnacle because they are the best players of the game our society created.

We tolerate them because, if they are our great Leaders, our elitist, and they are flawed, then we could possibly be better than them, and this perception sends our self-esteem sky rocketing.

We imagine that the positive regard they received could be said about us, because, of course, we are better.

The American Leadership Paradox!
